Faculty's Guide to Canvas

Studio

Studio (formerly known as Arc)

Studio is an online video learning platform that turns content into conversation, connection and collaboration. Instructors can use Arc to make videos inclusive and collaborative while gaining meaningful analytics about how students are using the video content in your course.

Why Should I Use Studio in My Course?

St. Johns River State College has purchased Studio as a video storage platform so that you can store all of your videos in one place rather than in each course. Canvas Studio also has the ability to easily caption your videos to meet federal Section 508 accessibility guidelines.

Features:

  • Integrated inside of Canvas (access from the Global Navigation Menu)
  • Captioning for Accessibility
  • Large amount of storage
  • Feedback and Questions within the video
  • Analytics
  • Responsive design for mobile devices
