With the Attendance tool, instructors can take roll electronically using either a list or grid format and create a seating chart. The Attendance tool also creates an assignment in the Gradebook and calculates attendance as a percentage of a student's grade. Instructors can also create badges, which are not visible to students, to apply in various circumstances. Roll Call Badges are a quick way for you to make notations about your students using the Roll Call attendance tool. For example, you can quickly mark when a student arrives late or leaves early or as a way to track when a student participates in class.
