3. Why should I apply to include EL in my course(s)?
Enhance student career readiness.

Foster an institution-wide culture of EL.
4. What types of EL activities can I include?
EL activities can range from co-curricular and field experiences to service learning and extracurricular activities. See the examples in the "Types of EL Activities" section of the Toolkit.
5. When and how can I apply?
Applications open each Spring (January-March), with additional opportunities throughout the year. Visit the “How to Apply” section in the Toolkit for links and resources.
6. What do I do after my EL activity is approved?
Follow specific steps for either Core or Non-Core General Education courses, including updating Canvas, incorporating required links into your course, and revising syllabi. Full instructions are available under the “My EL Activity has been approved - now what?” tab of this website.
7. Can I grade the EL Student Self-Reflection Assignment?
Yes, but students should submit both to the official link and in Canvas for grading. See the Toolkit for full instructions.
8. How long does the approved EL activity remain in my course?
EL activities should remain in place indefinitely, with flexibility for updates.
9. What stipends are available, and when are they paid out?
Core General Ed Course: $500 (new), $250 (additional) at the end of the term, provided all requirements are met.
Non-Core General Ed Course: $350 (new), $150 (additional) at the end of the term, provided all requirements are met.
