2. Fill out and submit the EL Faculty Lead Application when the application window opens in January.

An EL Faculty Lead is a dedicated faculty member who plays a pivotal role in the success of our QEP, The Viking Experience: Core to Career. Selected annually, these individuals commit to a two-year term and actively support the QEP's mission by engaging in various essential tasks:

• Attending the Experiential Learning Academy (ELA): EL Faculty Leads participate in a specialized Experiential Learning Academy (ELA), where they acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills essential for their roles as effective EL Faculty Leads.
• Reviewing Experiential Learning Applications: EL Faculty Leads assess proposals submitted by other faculty members, ensuring the proposed experiential learning activities align with the QEP's standards and objectives.
• Evaluating Experiential Learning Student Self-Reflections: EL Faculty Leads evaluate reflections completed by students engaged in experiential learning activities.
• Implementing Experiential Learning Activities: EL Faculty Leads serve as role models, incorporating experiential learning activities into their own courses, thereby inspiring both students and fellow faculty members through practical demonstration.
• Facilitate Training: EL Faculty Leads play a dual role in training. They conduct workshops and peer mentorship sessions designed to instruct faculty on building and implementing effective Experiential Learning activities. Additionally, they facilitate the ELA, a specialized program tailored for EL Faculty Leads to train their successors, ensuring a seamless transition for the role.
