SJR State's Professional Development Institute is a day dedicated for all faculty, staff, and administrators to come together and engage with their colleagues through a series of employee-led presentations on a wide variety of topics and best practices. Sessions are full of innovative strategies and methodologies designed to engage students and improve the college experience for both students and personnel alike. Concurrent sessions are held throughout the day, so while it may not be possible to attend every session of interest live or in person, the PDI web site is intended to make the presentation materials from all sessions available to everyone on demand.
In addition, the Professional Development Institute serves as a day for College all employees to come together and recognize our faculty and staff for the work they do by honoring them with Service Awards and Awards of Excellence and to recognize and bid farewell to those retiring each year.
All SJR State faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to submit presentation proposals for the 12th Professional Development Institute to be held on February 2, 2024 at the Palatka Campus.
Submissions will be accepted online through December 13, 2023. On the proposal form, you will be asked to provide the following information:
