Final Grades

After receiving the Final Grades email

  • Verify class rosters and contact the Registrar’s Office at (386) 312-4050 or Records@SJRstate.edu if there are any discrepancies.

  • Submit grades by the deadline (students may not be able to graduate/transfer until you submit their grade).

  • Be available to students if they have questions about their grade.

How to Submit Final Grades

These instructions are maintained by the IT department - please contact them with any questions.

A few important notes:

  • If you see “Not Gradable” for a student, no action is required. This designation typically applies to students who withdrew (W), audited (X), or were administratively assigned an F due to misconduct.
  • last date of attendance is required for all “F” and “I” grades. It must fall within the term dates for your course in order to save the entry.
  • The Hours Attended field is optional and does not need to be completed.
  • The grading status indicates the current progress for each term:

    • Not Started: Grades are not yet open for entry, or grading is open, but no grades are entered.

    • In Progress: Grades have been entered and saved for some students, but not all

    • Completed: Grades have been entered and saved for all students.

Confidentiality

Grades must not be posted in a way that students can be identified, must not be publicly announced, and must not be discussed with anyone other than the student.

In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), parents may not be given specific information on any student unless the student has submitted a completed Student Information Release form. You can call the Records Office at (386) 312-4050 to determine if a release form is on file.
