Participant's Guide to Zoom

How to change the view

If you are on a Zoom with multiple people for a class, a meeting, or a conference, you have some options for the way things appear on your screen.

If you're using a computer -

Click View in the top-right corner of the Zoom window, and then select a view - Speaker or Gallery

In Speaker view, the active speaker is featured in the middle of the screen and everyone else is in a row above the speaker, like this

If the speaker shares their screen, that's what you will see in the middle square.

In Gallery view, you see all the participants in their own squares, like this -

When someone speaks, their square is outlined.

In Gallery view, you can right-click on a person or click the 3 dots in the corner of their square for more options, such as hiding participants who don't have their camera on.
