1-3. Student as Client

Session Information

The Student as Client

The high demand for postsecondary education in America often causes students and educators to forget that education is a part of the service economy. Viewing students as clients allows an increased and alternative understanding of who students really are, why they are enrolling in postsecondary education, and how to interact with them. The client perspective allows educators optional changes to pedagogy and processes as they try to help students achieve their educational goals from class to class and from enrollment to graduation.
